Dann Saxton is a 2x Emmy award winning documentarian, director, producer, and music/entertainment industry veteran. He is an accomplished XR/VR/AR mixed-reality and television producer, musician, actor, and was instrumental in guiding the music industry's adoption of virtual and augmented reality platforms and content.
He co-founded Los Angeles based mixed-reality technology and content company, VRLIVE, in 2014. The company developed and powered Augmented and Virtual Reality experiences and platforms featuring music artists such as U2, Coldplay, Radiohead, Demi Lovato, Slash, Justin Bieber, 5 Seconds of Summer, Ellie Goulding, Common, Cage The Elephant, Shawn Mendes, Rob Zombie, Steve Aoki, Andra Day, Hunter Hayes, Logic, Avenged Sevenfold, Brian Wilson, Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper with The Hollywood Vampires. Also, the company developed groundbreaking technology and experiences for Super Bowl LI, AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, iHeartRadio Music Awards, Indy 500, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Lollapalooza, and developed Universal Music Group's XR platform, VRTGO.
In earlier years, Dann was the lead singer/songwriter and creative force in his Hollywood based rock bands, Butane and Kill The Complex, which toured the country many times including the Van's Warped Tour and SXSW, with music featured on MTV, VH1, Bravo, NBC, ABC, and TruTV, films such as Godzilla and more.
As a member of the management team of the globally influential music venue, The Roxy Theatre on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. He organized every production detail for performances from current artists such as Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Machine Gun Kelly and Imagine Dragons, and also artists such as U2, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Weezer, Billy Joel, Van Halen, Billy Idol, Blink 182, and many more. Dann is thrilled that he was able to work directly with most of his musical heroes, and was also able to help newer artists grow in their performance, lighting aesthetic, and stage presence.
Dann has also acted in commercials/television/film, and with VRLIVE he co-produced the most talked about commercial from Super Bowl LI, and was invited to Cannes to speak about it. Dann won his first Emmy in 2014 for his work producing with CBS, and another Emmy in 2021 for Digital Innovation with DNE's work with the NBA and TNT. Dann has also been featured on-camera conducting interviews of Larry King, Cheech Marin, Lou Adler, Steve Aoki, Lemmy Kilmister, and many more.
Dann Saxton interviewing legend photographer Tom Gundelfinger O'Neal about his experience shooting Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix in 1967 at the Monterey International Pop Festival. Dann believes strongly in storytelling using this medium within virtual worlds.

Including many collabs with the big 3 major record labels, top charting music artists, and national brands, on bringing their visions to the metaverse.
